Lexington Law Firm, established in 1991 in Salt Lake City, is the oldest and largest Credit Report Repair Company in existence today. Unlike many other credit repair companies, Lexington Law is an actual law firm. At the time of this review, Lexington has offices in 15 states and 22 attorneys who are members of the National Organization of Credit Correction Attorneys (NOCCA).
Lexington claims on its website to have helped over half-a-million people. From what we can determine, this is far more than any other credit repair company in the market. Another claim on their website is that they have removed everything from late payments to bankruptcies, claiming that clients who submitted updated reports have seen an average of 8.6 removals by the third month and 28.6 removals in a year on their combined credit reports.
Lexington Law offers three levels of service depending on your needs. The lowest level of service deals simply with removing negative items form your credit report. The second level allows Lexington to interact directly with the creditor to get them to stop reporting negative information to the bureaus. The highest level provides additional identity theft coverage.
Being the largest, we expected Lexington to have several complaints with the Better Business Bureau, similar to most companies of it size. What we found was surprising. Not only was Lexington Law in good standing with the BBB, they had very few complaints at all and all complaints had been resolved quickly.
