Unlike many other credit repair companies, Lexington Law is an actual law firm. At the time of this review, Lexington has offices in 15 states and 22 attorneys who are members of the National Organization of Credit Correction Attorneys (NOCCA). Lexington claims on its website to have helped over half-a-million people. DSI Solutions, located in Whiting, IN, has been in business since 2002. DSI Solutions is not a Law Firm. However, they have been in business long enough to understand the law. While their website does offer a fair amount of testimonials, we are unable to determine the number of clients that they have actually helped. The current version of their website reads more like a sales brochure offering more fluff then substance. From what we can determine they only focus on credit report correction, which is only half of the equation. They do offer a very simple payment plan. While the Ovation Law website claims that they have over 10 years of legal experience, our research shows that the company was established in 2004 by two attorneys. Ovation Law has grown quickly. While their website does not provide any specifics regarding the actual number of clients, we believe they have helped over 100,000 clients. The website claims they have no start-up costs, however they actually do charge a set-up fee after 5 days similar to other companies that we have reviewed. Veracity Credit, based in Denver, CO and established in 2003, maintains a loose attorney affiliation. Veracity's website claims they take a team approach to help customers improve their credit score. Consultants will contact customers, review expectations and create action plans. Veracity is one of the few credit repair companies that offers a full service solution working with both the credit bureaus the creditors depending on the level of service the client buys. They offer three levels of service. Advisor is a low cost do-it-yourself option. Select focuses only on repairing your credit reports. Platinum is full services focusing on both the credit report and the creditors. Unlike many credit repair companies, Academy is fully licensed and bonded. While academy is not a law firm, they do have attorneys on staff. Academy is not as large as some of the credit repair companies, although they do offer full service credit report repair focusing both on the bureaus and on the creditors. While Fowler and Fowler is not a Law Firm, their length of time in business says a lot about the company. We were unable to make any determination regarding the size of the company. Fowler and Fowler claims to offer a completely custom service in writing letters to dispute with credit bureaus, collection agencies, and, when needed, courthouses. They also offer several web-based systems to allow users to dispute negative items and track performance.
